Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory :

When I was a junior college's student, It was my first time to visit Huwei of Yunlin County, also it was I lived outside without homeland helps first time.

Beginning to lived at dormitory, the place and the environment were strange to me, so that I spent a sleepless night. I had never such that feelings when I was living at home. Unlike at home, I should took care all of own living things by myself. For instance, wash clothes, three meals, fold the quilt and bought living essentials, even thought of snack at night. However I just could dream of mom's cooks. Maybe I need not worried about those things before I was in the dormitory. The most important point in the dormitory: There have no personal television.

Although it is so inconvenient in the dormitory, yet it also have many advantages. For first example, the distance between dormitory and school always near than the distance between home and school, it can saves much commuting money, also that commute cost are cheaper than dormitory cost a month. Second, I can met many different friends; likewise I can advance our social ability. If I have some problem in our studying, I can find solutions more quickly with room-mate. Such between room-mate always could build a deep relationship. Nevertheless, I must to used to accept every different peculiarity from our room-mate, like snoring, streaking... whatever.

Sometimes in the dormitory, I can do every things which I can not do at home. If I roared at home, my mom must be angry and scold me, however nobody can control me in the dormitory. I could go outside to bought my favorite snack after 12:00 PM in the school. On the other hand, at home, I should went to bed before 12:00 PM. In the dormitory is very freedom, but it also means that will be 『indulging』 probably. Still, time limit alway in the dormitory.

Finally, live in the dormitory is more fun than live home, but I should learned to resolve many own problem without homeland help, hence I can cultivate independent characteristic by live outside. Because my parent can not protect me all my life, so most important of all, training my shoulder to be more strong soon. Then it was my turn to protect my homeland.

比較住在家裡跟住宿舍的優缺點：

在我讀五專的時候，生平第一次拜訪雲林虎尾這個地方，也是我第一次離開家園，在外面生活。

剛開始住在宿舍，對環境以及室友都感到非常陌生，以至於第一個出門在外的夜晚，我失眠了，這是在家裡生活時從未發生過的事情。住在宿舍所有的生活起居必須自己照料，像洗衣服、三餐、折棉被和買日常用品，甚至是晚上想吃消夜的時候，都只能在夢中想像母親的料理，這些事情在家中可以予取予求，不必費心。還有最重要的一點，宿舍沒有個人電視！

住宿雖然這麼的不方便，但它也有優點而且還不少，宿舍通常離學校近，可以省下很多的交通費用，跟一學期的住宿費比起來，還是省下不少錢。住校還可以認識不同的朋友，增進人際關係，在課業上有問題的時候，住宿能夠比較快找到同學一起討論問題，這樣朝夕相處的關係，往往可以建立較深厚的友誼，但卻必須去習慣群體生活中每個人不同的怪僻！如：打鼾、裸奔…

住宿舍能夠做在家中所不能做的事情，如在房間大聲喧嘩媽媽也不會拿著武器來追打，還可以三更半夜出去買消夜吃，然而在家裡午夜12點就得就寢，住宿可以過著比較不受拘束的生活，但這也意味著過於不受拘束會變成『放縱』。不過，宿舍也是個有門禁的地方…

住宿的生活充滿著很多樂趣，沒有了家庭的保護，也因此培養更獨立的個性，家庭不能永遠守護著我們，即早訓練自己的肩膀，以便應付未來各種的難題，到最後就要由我們來守護家庭。
